Getting Reviews & Testimonials

Reviews are the single biggest thing that helps new Wichita customers trust you and choose you over a competitor. Worth a few minutes after every event.

Step Zero: Google Business Profile

Google reviews only work if you have a free Google Business Profile. If you already have one, skip ahead. If not, that's the one thing to set up before anything else. Matt can walk you through it in about 10 minutes, just ask.

Once it's live, you'll have a short review link. Paste that link everywhere it says [GOOGLE REVIEW LINK] below.

When to ask

Send your request within a day or two of a delivery or event, while it's still fresh. That timing gets the most replies. After two messages, stop. More than that starts to feel like nagging.

Each message does two things at once:

  1. Asks for a public Google review (helps new customers find you).
  2. Asks permission to feature their words and a photo on your website.

Hi [Name]! It was so good making flowers for [your wedding / the shower / your day]. It genuinely made our week. 🌸 If you have 60 seconds, would you leave us a quick Google review? It helps other Wichita couples and hosts find us. Here's the link: [GOOGLE REVIEW LINK] And if we could share a line or two of your kind words (and maybe a photo) on our site, we'd be so honored. Totally okay to say no. Thank you for letting us be part of it. xo, Sierra & Morgan

Subject: Thank you from Sie & Mo 🌷Hi [Name], Getting to design the florals for [event] was a joy, thank you for trusting us with it. If you have a minute, a quick Google review would mean the world. It's the single biggest way new customers find and trust a small floral brand like ours: [GOOGLE REVIEW LINK] One more small thing: may we feature a sentence or two of your feedback, and a photo from your day, on our website? Just reply "yes" and we'll handle the rest. No pressure at all if you'd rather we didn't. Thank you again, truly. xo, Sierra & Morgan Sie & Mo Bouquet Co.

Hi {first_name}, no worries if you've been busy! Still would love your thoughts on your Sie & Mo flowers whenever you have a sec: {review_link} 💐

What to send Matt for the website

When a customer gives you a kind testimonial and says yes to sharing it, send Matt these and he'll add it to the site:

  1. Customer first name + last initial (e.g., "Vanessa R.")
  2. The occasion (wedding / shower / corporate / sympathy / BYOB)
  3. The quote (their actual words)
  4. A one-line "yes, okay to publish" from them
  5. (Optional) a photo from their day

Three to five of these is enough to build a real testimonials section on the homepage.

How to automate it (when you're ready)

Start manual with the messages above. The personal touch gets better reviews early, and there's zero setup. Switch to automatic once you have steady delivery volume.
